The International Olympic Truce Center designed a Truce Quiz game for the young athletes participating on the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. The game, launched on Android tablets, asks from young athletes visiting the Olympic Truce booth at the Youth Olympic Village in Nanjing, to answer a set of multiple-choice quizzes to earn the opportunity to evolve into ambassadors of Olympic Truce in their respective countries. Athletes by engaging with this interactive “Quiz Game” learn the history about Olympic Truce and the strong relation with the Olympic Movement.
The Director of the IOTC, Dr. Constantinos Filis, stressed that "Our aim has been to introduce the global youth with the ideals of the Olympic Truce in a fun, interactive and modern way. The young athletes, who participated, were presented with the opportunity to evolve into ambassadors of Olympic Truce in their respective countries and thus contribute in promoting peace and harmonious coexistence through the power of sports".
MPASS was designated by the International Olympic Truce Center to develop and launch the Android application. This innovative interactive game on tablets has proved very popular among the young athletes and coaches and the feedback received has been very positive and the majority of the 6,000 athletes and team officials that have been on the Olympic Truce booth have participated with enthusiasm.
